Zari is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). Throughout her Masters Degree studies, her research, work, and volunteer involvement centered on women escaping domestic violence, and her Master’s research focused on the Impact of Intimate Partner Violence on Immigrant Women and their Children’s Physical and Psychological Health.

Working with women, children, families and individuals on a wide variety of issues, Zari combines parenting support and education with her extensive experience to help her clients reach the balance they seek in their lives. Her experience includes, family counsellor, school counsellor, anger mnagement counsellor, a teacher and an Early Childhood Educator at SFU Childcare Society. Zari has volunteered with many local organizations, including Vancouver Rape Relief and Women’s Shelter, North Shore Neighborhood House, Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), North Shore Women’s Centre’s board of directors, and a member of the District of North Vancouver Community Services Grants Advisory Committee, which provided her with a comprehensive resource of experiences to draw from.
